Gone
are the days where chocolate was acceptable
to eat at breakfast and hello to healthy
eating! We all have our New Year’s
Resolutions and usually mine is to eat healthier. Although it tends to wear off
throughout the year, I am very much determined to keep at it!
I've recently started to eat more soups, which I either buy in my fortnightly shop
or, I’ll make my own which are pretty delicious
(If I do say so myself!)
This
evening I decided to try a soup flavour that I don’t usually go for and it was
the Tesco Finest Plum Tomato & Mascarpone soup (£2.35 for 600ml) the
soup was so creamy and delicious that I really had to stop
myself from grabbing some more. What made it even better was that I bulked up the soup with fresh spinach and celery; this added to the flavour and also stopped me from getting
hungry and reaching for the naughty biscuit tin.
Just
by adding raw vegetables or even
some croutons, not only does the soup
have added flavour but it also gives
it more of a texture and it really does fill you up. If healthy eating is as
good as this, I think I’ll be keeping at it for the rest of the year!
