.. Superdrug Solait Range Review ..

I’m finally back and ready to blog after enjoying a nice week in Spain. It was so relaxing and fun that I really didn’t want to come back, but I’m here and I wanted to let you know about the sunscreen which I was kindly sent to review whilst over in Spain by Superdrug.

If you’re not familiar with Superdrug then I can tell you that they’re one of the UK’s top drug stores that sell lots of products such as MUA & Sleek along with hair care, sun care and personal care products. I regularly shop there and find that they have so many amazing promotions and deals spread throughout the store and online, so as you can imagine I was pretty excited to try out something that I usually wouldn’t buy in Superdrug.

I usually am the type of person that will go and buy a sunscreen that is either in an offer or, something that I’ve seen on telly. Solait is Superdrug’s on sun care range and although I’ve seen these products whilst browsing their site and visiting the store, I’ve never thought of buying the product. I guess some people would be a bit hesitant because their prices are so good that some might question whether the product actually works – this is where I step in a tell you that yes, these products really do work regardless of the lower price.

The wonderful PR team sent me 3 products to try which were;

·         Solait Mattifying Face Fluid SPF 30 - RPP £1.98 (Was £3.99)
·         Solait Tan Activating Lotion SPF 15 – RRP £4.98 (Was £9.99)
·         Solait Head & Hair Protection Spray SPF 30 – RRP £4.48 (Was £8.99)

All products are 5 Star UV Protected and all help shield against any harmful rays leaving the skin and hair feeling soft and protected whilst sitting in the sun. Although I did burn a little whilst on holiday I didn’t come home with peeling patches or any severe red patches, so these products really did the trick.

The spray felt like a salt spray which was perfect, as when you’re on holiday you really can’t be bothered to style it if you’re going to be popping down to the beach or spending the day around the pool, so I sprayed quite a lot on the scalp and tied it up. It was such a perfect product to use in the evening as well, as some prefer a beachy wave style. It’ll keep your locks protected through the summer evenings when the sun is still about. Both the Tan Activating lotion and Face Fluid were amazing too! They weren’t greasy whatsoever and a little really did go a long way. I find that some sun creams are just too greasy that anything will stick to it, but these products never failed me. I also suffer a lot from prickly heat because some sun creams are so thick, but this formula was so light that I never had any prickly heat whatsoever.

My conclusion is that we shouldn’t be rushing out to the stores to buy the newest product on the market that is £20+ because it’s been on telly when there are plenty of other products which are completely the same at an affordable price. With the 5 star UV protections on every product and with the products ranging from self tanning to after sun the Solait range is perfect for people who want to benefit from being safe in the sun, but at a price that doesn’t break the bank.  Thanks to Superdrug I now have a perfect tan!

Have you tried any products from the Solait range? Would you buy a cheaper alternative to your suncream? Let me know by popping a comment below or tweeting us @KMacBlogs & @superdrug #Solait

Superdrug currently have a better than half price offer on all of their Solait products. You can find them HERE. Go on treat yourself and save those pennies for some extra cocktails.

  1. Ooh, the orange packaging looks very nice! I highly doubt that Solait is available on my side of the pond, though! Lol.
