MUA - Pistachio, Clear & Natural Days - RRP £1.00
MUA stands for Make Up Academy and can be found in Superdrug stores as well as online. They have had a little re-vamp recently and the packaging for their nail polishes are extremely better than the originals. Yes, they do in fact look similar to Essie polishes, but that's not the main reason why I went for this brand. I went for this particular brand because of their vast variety of pastel shades which look incredible on the nail. Bubblegum Pinks and Mint Greens that look good enough to eat are some of the colours that can be found. With the packaging and eye catching colours you'd think that they'd cost a bomb right? - Nope, they're £1.00 each! You'd also think that by only paying £1.00 per bottle you'd be getting cheap, nasty and gloopy gunk, but I can totally assure you that this mixture is so easy to apply, dries almost instantly and the end results are amazing.
I have always loved Barry M Nail Polishes especially because they have so many colours to choose from. From dark blues to glittery reds they have everything - Their new limited edition shades are amazing too! An ocean blue with a hint of shimmer & hot pink filled with specks of gold - Both perfect for a sunny day or to make even the best of tans better.
Bourjouis - 1 Seconde Nail Polish in Meli Melon - RRP £5.99
Excuse the picture - This literally was used a lot on my nails and toes whilst basking in the sun when I went to Spain last month. I wasn't a huge fan of the brush, as I felt it used too much product which left me having to go over the same section a few times to even it out. The polish itself dried pretty quick too, but needed a few goes to give it that wow factor. It was certainly nice to treat myself on a bit of an expensive nail polish, as it's a shade that can be worn all summer and on my toes in Winter to give me a boost.
All of these nail polishes have made me feel a lot more confident in choosing brighter, more vibrant colours. It's about time we started to give our nails a bit of va-va voom and show them off whether they're long or short they deserve that extra special attention. Just remember that the more expensive polishes might not always be the best ones - there are plenty on the market for much cheaper that give you the same results.
Have you tried any of the polishes that I have mentioned on my blog post? Do you like to show off your nails with pastels, brights and neons? What is the colour that you'll be wearing this summer! Let me know by leaving a comment below or tweeting me @KMacBlogs #nailsnailsnails
