I am a very creative person and used to always change my hair colour every month. I went from Black & Purple, to Purple & Blonde, to Blonde & Brown all the way to Red! I didn't think it did any damage to my hair until my long flowing locks had to be cut off short to get rid of the damage. Since then, I've learnt the importance of taking care of my hair and reducing damage by, not dying it whacky colours and letting my natural colour grow back, along with giving it some rest from straightening and blow drying. Sadly because of all the hair dyes and bleaching my hair has the tendency to look and feel like
straw!
It's hard to find that particular shampoo which your hair just absolutley adores and I'm one of those that will just pick anything at random because either it smells good or has funky packaging. Recently I went into town and picked up a new shampoo and conditioner - One is a product that I LOVE and the other is something I've never tried. Below is my review on both of these products which are for dry/damaged hair.
Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo RRP £2.99 - £4.99
" Top up dry hairs' moisture levels and help bring back your shine with Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo. This little beauty is to hair what a glass of iced lemonade is to you on a hot summer's day - sheer relief!"
Ok, this product is my favourite by far! It's a product that I used to use, but would always be distracted by other products. It's safe to say I will be sticking by this bottle of gorgeous smelling shampoo! Not only does my hair lap it up, but it smells incredible!! Macadamia Oil is what can be found in this product and it actually smells good enough to eat -personally I think it smells like bubblegum. With it being £3.99 in most drugstores, it's certainly worth it and won't break the bank. I know that after using this product my hair will look and feel a lot softer and full of life.
Macadamia Oil Extract Conditioner RRP £1.00
"Exclusive blend of ingredients created to revitalise & nourish"
Can you believe this product is only £1.00? Like all things that I find which are a pound, you'd think that you'd be getting cheap old tat, but I kid you not this product is incredible! It doesn't have that strong smell like Aussie does, but it really made my dry locks feel much more nourished. It was easy to comb my hair after with this and it didn't leave any residue like some conditioners can do. It's the perfect little pick me up for my blonde strands and my hair very much thanks me for it.
You really don't need to faff about buying expensive products for your hair because 9 times out of 10 there are cheaper alternatives that won't break your bank, and will leave you with the exact same softer feeling than those products which are over the £5.00 mark. Don't get me wrong, I have spent a little bit over that mark before, but knowing that I can buy cheaper alternatives allows me to spend that extra cash on something else :)
You can purchase Aussie hair products HERE or in your local Superdrug, Boots or any supermarket. Sadly the Macadamia Oil Extract range can only be found in Savers.
Have you tried any of these products? Do you suffer from dry/damaged hair and have a favourite product to tackle the dryness? Let me know by posting a comment below :)

OMG, old school pics, how cuuute! Lol.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...we don't have Macadamia here, but I did use Aussie hair care once upon a time, when I was dyeing my hair crazy colors, too (my favorite was a shade called "cupcake pink," but anyway). I'm not sure why I quit using it; maybe it was because I got curious about other brands.
Cheers!
