A Question A Day

Oh how lovely it is, to finally get back to blogging! Although I needed that 6 months time out (very various reasons) I did miss my little piece of the internet a lot! Within that time there was a;

·         birth of two special little boys in the family (John's Nephew & My 2nd cousin)
·         3 weddings
·         a life threatening illness in the family (that person is a lot better now)
·         engagements (not me!)
·         attending gigs and getting back into live music
·         holidays
·         a new job role
·         my birthday

There is a lot more to look forward to in the next few months which I'm so excited about!

Anyways, enough of what has been going on, and more of something that I've really enjoyed having next to my bed for the past few weeks. Some call it a journal, and some call it a diary but, I see it as more of a time capsule. Something that I can look back through in years to come.

Here is the Q&A a day - 5 year journal. It's such a dainty little book that is filled with the most random of questions to get your brain thinking.

The purpose of this book is to see how your answers change, how you change and how your life changes in the space of 5 years! You can start on whichever day you fancy, so if you wanted to start this at the end of the year, or at the start of the year then it's totally up to you!

I started on the day that I received it, which was the 11th September. I filled in the answer and carried on with my day. Then the next day was a different question and I filled in the answer to that quesion (you can see where I'm going with this can't you.)
 After a year is over, you'll then start on the same question that you answered the year before and you will answer that very same question. Your answers may stay the same, or your answers may differ. Either way you carry on doing this for 5 years and when those 5 years are up, you'll be able to look back at those answers and see the changes.

So for instance, there is a question in the book that says "who are the most important people in your life" - This may change throughout the years, especially if you have a new addition to the family? Another question is "Where do you think your road is going"  - The answer that you gave may have already been achieved by the time you have to answer it in the following years.

It's such a wonderful gift to yourself, or to a loved one that may not have the time to keep a diary but, is the type of person that has enough time to just write a few words, or one sentence. I managed to locate mine on Amazon, and it wasn't anything to break the bank either, at only £5.80.

So if you fancy having something that you can keep and look back for years to come, that is compact enough to put on your bed side table, or in your handbag then I would certainly go for this. It really does make you think about the question that is being asked, and whether your answers will change in the next 5 years!

Let me know what you think about this in the comments below, or whether you're someone that has this, or has given this as a gift. I would love to hear your thoughts!
