Hey everyone – I do
apologise for not being so focused on my blog for the past week, but after
working pretty hard at work, I now have 3 blissful days off, so there will be
lots of blogging!
Today's blog is going to
be about TEA! Yes, tea but not your
usual cup of PG Tips or Typhoo, but Fruit & Herbal tea. I work in an office
which is full of coffee and tea lovers and usually when I’m a bit thirsty and
don’t have much money to visit my nearest coffee shop, I’ll tend to find a 20p
and grab a tea or coffee from the machine. It doesn't taste nice and to be fair it’s
not worth the 20p, so I decided one day that I’d raid my own cupboard at home
to see if there was any spare tea bags to take to work. I managed to find a bit
mug full of fruit tea sachets that neither I nor my boyfriend drank and used those.
When I first tasted
Fruit Tea I wasn't won over straight away, but after getting used to it and
adding honey it became something that I couldn't live without. I absolutely
love fruit tea now and cannot get enough of the stuff, so I've picked out 3 of
my favourites so far to share with you.
1) Clipper’s Green Tea
with Echinacea. RRP £1.79 for 20 bags
I adore Alice in
Wonderland and have ever since I was a little girl, so when visiting Waitrose
to grab some Green Tea this little box instantly caught my eye. The packaging
is so eye catching and reminded me of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, all vibrant,
crazy and fun! I have tried the Green Tea & Lemon in this range however, I
wanted to try something different and have heard great things about Echinacea. The
taste is gorgeous and because it’s got such a citrus flavour, it’s as if you’re
chewing on a lime fruit pastille and there isn't any lingering after taste
either, it’s even better when a tiny drop of honey is added.
2) Twinings Fruit
Selection – RRP £1.85 for 25 bags
I love taking a
selection of different fruit teas with me to work which is why I purchased this
box. It has array of mouth watering flavours and is very much worth the £1.85
that I paid. Inside this box you get
·
Cranberry,
Raspberry & Elderflower x5
·
Raspberry,
Strawberry & Loganberry x5
· Strawberry
& Mango x5
·
Blackcurrant,
Ginseng & Vanilla x5
·
Cranberry
& Sanguinello Orange x5
They all sound amazing
right? Well they taste amazing too – I've only tried the Raspberry, Strawberry
& Loganberry as well as the Strawberry & Mango and both of them are
just incredibly juicy and packed with flavour. As always I like to have a tiny
little bit of honey with my fruit tea, as I think it just gives it more of a
sweeter taste as sometimes fruit tea can be bland. The packaging is simple, but
the smell when you open the box is out of this world.
3) Marks & Spencer’s
Rooibos & Vanilla Infusion – 99p for 20 bags.
Rooibos is the name for
Redbush which is a wonderful tea that is packed with so many antioxidants and can
be enjoyed with or without milk. Because of it’s sweet taste, I was a little
bit wary with how it would taste with the Vanilla. I adore anything Vanilla
especially Vanilla Latte’s, so it was a bit of a taste explosion when I finally
had a cup of this. As Rooibos is already sweet enough there is no need to add
any sugar, so instead of honey I added milk. Wow – It instantly brought the tea
to life giving it a gorgeous caramel colour and tasting like Vanilla custard. I
have also enjoyed it without milk and the taste was fantastic to, but I much preferred it with milk and have now found my new favourite night time drink!
With fruit tea bursting with flavour, naturally caffeine free and just having tons of goodness in them then I can simply say that I have now become an avid fruit tea fan and will certainly be trying new and wonderful flavours soon. I'm just worried about how long all of the tea's that I have will last....
If you like the sound of any of these gorgeous teas then you can visit Clipper Tea HERE - Twinings Tea HERE & you can find the Rooibos & Vanilla Infusion in most Marks & Spencers stores.
Do you have a favourite fruit tea flavour? Have you tried any of the above? As always, feel free to pop a comment below.
