.. Fancy A Brew? | Brew Tea Co Review ..

I was recently contacted by the wonderful people of BrewTeaCo who suggested that I try some of their tea – To be fair, I hadn’t heard of them before, but always eager to try out different tea from different companies. I’d usually just grab a little tea bag from the PG Tips box inside my kitchen cupboard and dunk that in hot water and out again so, after taking a little look at the Brew Te Co’s website, I was very intrigued to see that they give you steps to make the perfect up of tea and also give you a little insight as to why their tea is better than the rest. I received a large envelope filled with 2 samples of each of their tea’s and on each packet were the time, temperature and amount of water needed to make a perfect cup of that particular tea.  I received the following flavours;

Haha yes, that is the Mad Hatter from AIW (Alice in Wonderland) modelling the tea! J

-          English Breakfast – A blend of large, hand-picked rolled Indian Assam & Sri Lankan UVA leaf
-          Earl Grey – Smooth Sri Lankan UVA with the scent of Italian bergamot and an orange peel addition.
-          Fruit Punch – A busy blend of hibiscus, rosehip, lemongrass, orange peel, apple peel and strawberry oil
-          Moroccan Mint –Peppermint leaves blended with Chinese gunpowder green tea
-          Green Tea – A high grown Chinese Yunnan brewed at 85 degrees for a grassy, fresh brew

English breakfast tasted amazing and a lot different too any other English breakfast teas that I’ve tried - With its golden colour and smooth taste, it went down well with a dash of milk and 1 sugar -  Fruit Punch was gorgeous, all the fruit and the added strawberry oil really made this tea taste like a ice lolly – there was no need for any added honey because the taste was already sweet - Moroccan MintWow, this tea was insane and I mean insane as in the flavour was out of this world – I’ve had peppermint tea before and found it tasted more like peppermint oil that you use for baking and never packed a punch, but this tea was so enjoyable that I even let one of the girls at work try it too – It didn’t have a horrible aftertaste and really was refreshing - Green Tea – Like always, I don’t like Green Tea without any added flavour too it, but there was something about this tea that made it very interesting. Yes there was an off putting grass smell too it, but it didn’t taste like grass at all and was very easy to drink - Earl Grey – This is yet to be tasted because I’m not a big fan of the perfumed taste that most Earl Grey tea’s taste of, but I think this would be a perfect Sunday Afternoon cup of tea with a nice slice of cake.

With their fun, vibrant and eye catching boxes of tea along with their step by step ways to making the perfect cup of tea, it’s safe to say that Brew Tea Co have now become my #officeteaheroes and with their prices ranging from £4.29 they’re well worth buying as, it’s nice to know that you’re getting an enjoyable cup of tea and that’s what I need when working in an office for 8 hours a day. It’s not just tea bags that they sell, but also loose tea too! The next task on my list is to test out some loose tea and purchase their brew tea pot. If you’ve liked the sound of the teas then you grab them at your nearest Waitrose or by visiting their website here .

  1. Oh, you must try making Moroccan Mint Latte with your Moroccan mint tea sometime! Basically, brew a cup of very hot mint tea, using milk instead of water, and now use that beverage to make hot chocolate with. It's how "they" do it at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and it is phenomenal. :-)

    By the way, I have nominated your blog for the Liebster Award, as it is one of the 11 that I like to visit. The award is a fun way to answer a questionnaire so that your readers can learn more about you. :-) To learn more about what it is:
