Every
Sunday I have a little pamper day which involves jumping into a hot bubble
bath and lying there for hours on end just recharging my batteries. It’s pure
bliss and it’s my own little ‘me’ time where no one can disturb me. It’s also a
chance to pamper myself and give my hair, skin and nails a little TLC ready for
the week ahead of me. I like to mix and match my products that I use, but
recently have started to stick with what my skin loves best and I really don’t
want to annoy my skin since it’s so sensitive. Below are the products that I’m
currently using for my pampering Sunday’s.
I
have dabbled in many hair masques, but with not having a lot of money to
splurge I decided to take a little trip to my local Savers where I picked up a
hair masque by OZ Botanic for dry/damaged hair. It was only £1 and actually did
the trick and left my hair feeling soft and manageable. Although I liked it, I
still prefer Herbal Essences for that extra TLC needed for my hair.
I
absolutely love being in a bath full of bubbles filled with fragrance and I’ve
always found that the Radox bubble baths just make the bath extra relaxing. If
I’ve had a pretty awful week then I like to also add their bath salts to the
bath which helps de-stress the body. At the moment Sleep Easy, which is
full of Camomile & Jasmine, is the perfect bubble bath as its calming
ingredients help the body to relax and ready for bed.
Candles
can make bath time feel like a spa and just add to the already calm atmosphere. I adore Yankee Candle, as you can probably tell from my review of
their products HERE and have found that a fresh and uplifting scent like Clean
Cotton is perfect to have in the bathroom. I currently have the samplers, but
will be getting the small jar to keep for pamper days.
We
need to exfoliate our skin once or twice a week so, that we can get rid of all
the dead skin cells that have been built up ready for fresh skin cells to grow.
There are lots of exfoliating products on the market at the moment, but my
favourite has to be Soap & Glory’s Scrub ‘Em & Leave ‘Em. You can check
out my review about this product HERE.
I always use Body Shop Body Washes because they’re soap free which
stops my skin from drying out and they have some amazing scents all for £4.00.
They’re pretty much a bargain and you don’t need to use a lot for the product
to lather up and give your body that clean feel.
Montagne
Jeunesse – Face Masks
A face mask is a perfect way to just draw out the impurities and dirt from your face leaving it fresh, clean and with a healthy glow and this brand does the trick! Their masks can be found at most drugstores for bargain prices, but it's their online shop that do some pretty good deals. I managed to grab 15 masks for £10.00 - all were a mixture that I didn't get to choose, but each one I have tried has made my skin feel so smooth, soft and nourished.
Body
Shop Body Butter – Cocoa Butter
The best feeling after a bath is having that soft skin feeling,
but it doesn’t last long so, I always make sure that I use a thick moisturiser
like Cocoa Butter from Body Shop. It’s non greasy, smells gorgeous and provides my skin with the
nourishment that it needs. Most body butters will do, but after a bath you
really do need something that will give your body that extra TLC. Believe me, your whole body will thank you for it.
It’s safe to say we all need that night where we just give
ourselves a time out and to make us feel a little bit more human again. If you
like the look or sound of any of the products that I have mentioned then you
